Excel password remover for mac4/9/2023 ![]() ![]() If its the older format there are several programs that will do this for you for free if you search the internet. Depends on what version of Excel the file was initially saved with. You can't remove passwords from excel versions onward anything with x on the end of the file name, eg. ![]() If it's password protected and you don't know the password, you're not getting in. Sometimes it glitches and does not release the file lock once the user closes the document - happens from time to time. From there you should be able to see who has the file open. Assuming it is locked by the last user, you will have to go in to the file server which hosts the network folder. Is it password protected? Or just locked so when you open it, it is "read only"? Two different scenarios. ![]() Can you please help how can I do this? It would be really appreciated. ![]()
